Milling Vibratory Disc Mills

Vibratory Disc Mill HO-1000

DESCRIPTION

The Vibratory Disc Mill is a widely used, reliable, and high-performance device in sample preparation and analytical laboratories. Specifically designed for the rapid and efficient size reduction and pulverizing of medium-hard, hard, brittle, and challenging materials, it ensures thorough preparation for precise analyses.

Ideal for sample preparation before XRF (X-ray Fluorescence) and XRD (X-ray Diffraction) analyses, the Vibratory Disc Mill brings materials to a fine and homogeneous consistency, enhancing analytical accuracy.

In laboratory settings, proper and reliable sample preparation is essential. The Ring Mill enables this process to occur quickly and securely, preparing alloys and other hard materials in uniform, finely ground sizes ready for testing and analysis.

The Vibrating Disc Mill is available with grinding sets in four capacities: 400 cc, 250 cc, 100 cc, and 50 cc. This flexibility allows users to select the most suitable set based on material quantity and properties. The durable construction and longevity of these sets enhance efficiency in size reduction and pulverizing operations, making the pulverizing ring mill a dependable choice for various grinding needs.

High Performance: Engineered for unmatched size reduction and pulverizing, the Vibratory Disc Mill delivers superior throughput and consistency, making it ideal for demanding sample preparation tasks and ensuring reliable analytical results.

Quiet Operation: The interior of the machine is lined with acoustic foam for sound insulation, minimizing noise during operation and creating a quiet working environment.

The lid safety switch, designed to prevent operation while the lid is open, ensures the highest level of operational safety. This safety system prevents the machine from operating as long as the lid remains open, thereby avoiding any potential accidents. The motor will not engage, and the operation cannot begin until the operator securely closes the lid. This feature is crucial for both operator safety and the safe operation of the machine.

APPLICATION AREAS

Our Vibratory Disc Mill is suitable for grinding a wide range of materials. Some areas of use include:

Mineral ores (copper, iron, gold, chrome ores), concrete, ceramics, coal, glass, quartz, corendone, granite, slag and cement clinker, some industrial wastes, etc.

Working Principle

Vibratory Disc Mills operate based on the principle of mechanical compression and pulverizing between rings, specifically designed for grinding hard and brittle materials. In this device, material is compressed between interlocking rings and reduced to a homogeneous powder.

Operational Steps

  • Material Placement: The material to be ground is placed inside the grinding set of the disc mill.
  • Ring Movement: When the machine is activated, the rings continuously compress the material. This compressive action mechanically pulverises and fragments the material.
  • Application of Forces: The material is pulverised between the rings. During this process, the forces applied between the rings quickly reduce particle size, creating a fine powder.
  • Adjusting Grinding Time: The grinding duration can be set through the machine’s control panel. Based on the material type and desired fineness, the appropriate time is selected to complete the process.
  • Collection of Ground Material: Once grinding is complete, the material is retrieved from the chamber, ready for analysis or further processing.
