The ÜNAL 70-liter closed-circuit ball mill with spiral classifier is designed for laboratory and pilot-scale wet grinding and mineral beneficiation tests, combining grinding and classification within a single continuous loop. The system operates with a Ø350 × 700 mm AISI 304 stainless steel mill drum, where the material is ground together with water. The discharge slurry flows directly to the spiral classifier, where particles are separated based on their settling behavior: the fine fraction is recovered as product via the overflow, while the coarse fraction is returned to the mill by the spiral, ensuring true closed-circuit operation. This configuration provides stable product particle size distribution and repeatable grinding performance during continuous operation.
For operator safety and working comfort, the mill is equipped with a fully enclosed cabinet. All rotating components are contained within the enclosure, and acoustic insulation integrated into the cabin panels helps reduce operating noise. Emergency stop buttons, positioned for easy access, further enhance safe operation.
The machine is supplied together with a spiral classifier, allowing grinding and classification to be carried out in the same process loop. A mobile feeder can also be provided to support controlled and consistent material feeding, offering flexibility in layout and ease of use during different test campaigns.
The typical feed size is < 6.35 mm, with a wet grinding capacity of 37–74 kg/h for medium-hard ores, depending on material characteristics and target particle size. Hardened steel grinding balls are used as the grinding media. As the manufacturer, ÜNAL delivers this machine based on its own in-house design and manufacturing infrastructure.
