Disc Mill

DESCRIPTION

The Disc Mill is designed for the rapid, safe, and efficient grinding of medium-hard, hard, brittle, and challenging materials. It is an ideal solution for sample preparation in laboratory settings. The mill uses two discs for precise grinding—one fixed and the other movable.

  • Disc Dimensions: Two Ø200 x 30 mm discs ensure effective material grinding.
  • Adjustable Disc Gap: The gap between the discs can be adjusted steplessly from 0 to 10 mm, allowing for grinding to the desired fineness.

With its broad application range and adjustable disc gap, the Disc Mill provides maximum efficiency and safety when working with various materials.

The lid safety switch, designed to ensure the highest level of operator safety, prevents the machine from operating when the lid is open, effectively avoiding potential accidents. The motor will not engage, and the operation cannot begin until the operator securely closes the lid. This feature is crucial for both operator safety and the secure functioning of the machine.

APPLICATION AREAS

Our Disc Mill is suitable for grinding a wide range of materials. Some uses include:

Mineral ores (copper, iron, gold, chrome ores), concrete, ceramics, coal, glass, quartz, corundum, granite, slag and cement clinker, some industrial wastes, etc.

Working Principle

The Disc Mill operates on the principle of grinding materials by compressing them between two discs. One disc remains stationary, while the other is movable, allowing for adjustable spacing to achieve the desired fineness of the material.

Operational Steps:

  • Material Feeding: The material to be ground is placed in the feed hopper at the top of the device, directing it between the discs.
  • Disc Rotation: When the machine is activated, the movable disc begins rotating at high speed. The material is compressed between the two discs under high pressure, causing it to break down. The friction force between the stationary and movable discs facilitates the fine grinding of the material.
  • Adjustable Disc Gap: The gap between the discs can be adjusted steplessly from 0 to 10 mm. This allows the particle size of the ground material to be precisely controlled. For finer particles, the gap between the discs is narrowed.
  • Discharge of Ground Material: The ground material passes through the discs and falls into the collection chamber at the bottom, resulting in a homogeneously ground sample ready for use.

This design ensures efficient, controlled grinding, making the Disc Mill ideal for producing uniform samples for various analytical needs.
