Rotary Sample Divider (Continuous Process)

DESCRIPTION

The Rotary Sample Divider (Continuous Process) efficiently separates representative samples at the required ratio while collecting remaining waste in a single central container. This design reduces operator workload, saves time, and ensures precise sample division, achieving representative samples with a weight accuracy of ±1%.

This divider is designed for sample collection, offering the versatility to operate in both batch processing and continuous processing modes, making it adaptable to a variety of sampling needs.

We provide, according to your process requirements, either 16 units of 1-liter containers or 8 units of 2-liter containers with the machine. Based on the division ratio, the sample portion not collected in the designated container is directed to the waste collector.

For example, using a single 2-liter container at a 1/8 division ratio collects one part of the sample, while the remaining seven parts go to the waste collector.

Similarly, with a 1-liter container set to a 1/16 ratio, one part is collected, and the other 15 parts are directed to waste. This system simplifies waste management and ensures precise sample division.

Additionally, by increasing the number of containers, you can adjust the division ratio to different values such as 1/2, 1/4, or 3/8.

Waste Discharge System: The centrally positioned waste discharge pipe on the rotary table directs unused samples out of the system. Waste can be directed to a small conveyor belt or a wheeled collection cart, depending on preference.

Feed Hopper: 10-liter capacity conical feed hopper made from stainless steel.

Material Contact Surfaces: All material contact surfaces are made from 2 mm thick AISI 304 stainless steel, with other components painted over standard steel.

Rotation Speed: The rotation speed can be seamlessly adjusted from 0 to maximum speed via an electronic control.

Sample Division: Separates samples with a weight accuracy of ±1%, providing high precision for reliable and repeatable results.

The lid safety switch prevents operation when the lid is open, ensuring maximum operator safety by avoiding potential accidents. The motor will not engage, and the operation cannot start until the lid is securely closed.

An emergency stop button is also included, providing immediate shutdown if needed. These features are essential for both operator safety and the safe operation of the machine.

APPLICATION AREAS

Our Rotary Sample Dividers are suitable for sampling a wide range of materials. Some uses include:

Bulks, coffee beans, grains, nuts, mineral ores (copper, iron, gold, chrome ores), concrete, ceramics, coal, glass, quartz, corundum, granite, slag and cement clinker, some industrial wastes, etc.

Working Principle

The Rotary Sample Divider operates as a system that ensures homogeneous sample division and efficient waste management. This device distributes material evenly across the rotating table via a vibratory feeder, starting from the feed hopper.

Feeding and Distribution: The sample is loaded into a 10-liter conical feed hopper made of stainless steel. From here, the material is transferred to the rotating containers via a vibratory feeding system, which promotes even distribution. The adjustable feed rate allows optimization for different sample types.

Sample Division: The containers on the rotary table divide the sample with a weight accuracy of ±1%, ensuring precise, representative sampling. The table’s rotation speed can be smoothly adjusted via an electronic speed control, allowing the required precision during the process.

Waste Management: Unused material is discharged from the system through a waste discharge pipe located at the center of the rotary table. Waste can be collected via a small conveyor belt or a wheeled waste collection cart positioned beneath. This setup facilitates waste management and enhances operational efficiency.

This Rotary Sample Divider is built for sample reduction in either batch processing or continuous processing modes, making it suitable for diverse sampling applications.

This working principle demonstrates the high precision, safety, and efficiency of the rotary sample divider in sample preparation and sampling processes. The divider offers reliable and flexible usage for both laboratory and pilot-scale applications.
